Luca - Disney's new animation - renovation, pandemic, and other things...
"Some films seem to further complicate the collective unconscious, others seem to rebalance, reorganize the life of our times... "
In January, February and March 2020, the pandemic set foot and settled, definitively, all over the world...
In 2021, a theatrical release was awaited and expected.
"The film is Enrico Casarosa's first feature film, set against the beautiful backdrop of the Italian coast.
"Luca" will be the first Pixar film to be released after the hit "Soul"...
The premiere of the new animation is scheduled for June 18 in the United States.
It is worth remembering that, due to the pandemic, "Dois Irmãos" had an early premiere in streaming, and in Brazil it became part of the Amazon Prime catalog.
And Disney's animated "Raya and the Last Dragon" opens March 4 in theaters, but will also be available on the streaming platform for anyone willing to pay an extra amount.
Disney seems to us a magician, hidden behind a wall, ready to inform reality, hidden behind facts of the world, in order to use fairy tales, fables, and enchanted stories...
She comes to bump into, in her work, several historical factors... before, little noticed... before, little perceived in the field of consciousness... but that inhabit in his films, that are always on posters, in our imagination ...
Something like he didn't want to say anything, but saying a lot...
It would even be strange if she herself were not there to talk about fantasy, hidden just behind from all reality...
But if times have ever become charged... the magic also becomes unbearable, or inhabits the limit...
Disney TV channels are full of "absurdities and magical appeals"... You can tell!
Something like an irony...
But when this formula gets tired, time to get back to the simple...
Thus comes "Lucca", something that fights between the simple, the will of the new, and the possibilities of overcoming the old and old models, in order to something new... or a new adventure, to get out of the cone...! The new Disney-Pixar movie "Luca" got its first trailer on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
The film does not lose a certain air of seriousness, behind the playful... It is so lively that it seems that an "enormous consciousness inhabits us, and surrounds us on all sides... "...
But neither has the weight of our times been lost when he returns to a simple village in Italy, where magic becomes the transformation of boys into marine beings, in a wave of "what is the meaning of life"...
To get stuck in our world, or to get closer, and seek other things...!?
But when we are already leaving in check the real world, to deal then with a magical world, and different from ours... It could be that something very serious is going on...
Other movies also go on this wave, to connect there is something totally new...!
The break with the old... !
Connecting there is a hope... An exit... a new style to deal with the world...!
We speak here, in a way, or representation, too, of a specific time that we live... and that Disney-Pixar seems to follow, or have aligned, perhaps, from the collective unconscious itself.
It doesn't play out, the theme of the end of things, the end of times... it was already being covertly gestated at Pixar studios, when talking about the cataclystic apocalypse of Ice Age, 1, Ice Age 2, and 3..
Avatar, also from Disney, was already equally and also, speaking of this... without realizing it...
And avatar talks about connection all the time...!
And that's to say, the last avatar movie was also on the seas... !
But it was a balcony presented in a delicate way or form, and why not subtle...! The way Luca deals with our simplicity... in a moment of collective chaos... a simplicity, contrasting with the chaos of urban areas, a simple flawed, a flawed act, perhaps, of a simplicity, which did not accompany something simple, in the real world, but profoundly the opposite...!
So, sounding a little satirical, the simple, almost or completely naïve, of the two animation buddies...
The story follows a boy who, during the summer, discovers with his new friend Alberto that he transforms into a sea creature when he falls into the sea...
The theme of regression to fantastic creatures -
Fantastic creatures have always been in the Disney universe... But what could this tell us now...?
The gap of the unconscious, and of rational thought, which did not bear nature closely, and its strength... The felt gap of this disconnect... brings us the reflection of aligning ourselves with sea creatures... in order to find harmony, and balance again...!
Falling into the sea has a huge archetype of "returning", "returning", the origins, the nature of things....!
This is a deep root back into the unconscious... an inner healing... at the point where everything, life, the concept of health, and others... they appear here, in relative parallel with the sea... !
A new kind of freedom, perhaps too virginal, innocent, or too naïve.... make us, come back, or return to this sea...!
A return to the search for health, and cohesion, final and archetypal... !
At the end of the day... a place to be...
It's all about that...!
But where do we find the tragedy in "Luca"
It's funny to imagine that what has hit us lately probably came from a tray, or stock, like a barrel, in a place with fish, eels and bats... to then come across a completely ordinary boy, who tunes in, and allies himself with the ecological forces of the Ocean, at the turn of the twenty-first century... !
It's so simple, or even humble, to make a mistake... There is, at the end, a Mickey spell, like some animations... where something falls into a cauldron... something typical of Disney animation... the mistake !
But this is precisely the most striking feature of Luca's collective unconscious, the new attraction of Disney and Pixar...
The freedom, the quiet, and the deep walking side by side... the coming out of the cone, which can hide, yes, freedom walking alongside the chaos... a kind of too infallible afternoon, waiting behind the walls and the walls, of what already exists... and the traditions that need to be preserved...
who knows, or inevitably, such a quiet village, was not infected by nuclear tragedies or something of the sort, transmuting in this way, its residents and beings... Chaos next to the simple, hidden at all times, in this created work... !
Therefore, to come into contact with the sea, is almost a ritualization of passage, to say that we are whole...
The world has not disappeared, we have not been decimated by the apocalypse... the imagery of the turn of the twenty-first century was always full of chaos... but we pass it all alive...
Luca, the boy who can become a sea creature... It seems to tell us that we are immersed in something much bigger, much stronger than us... This reinvigorates our strength...
But this peace is not constant... in a world where oppression becomes constant...
The characters, in one scene, before falling into the sea, were riding on a wooden bicycle...
Wow, how we need the humble, and the simple, again...!
Riding a wooden bike, in a setting where we become sea creatures, a setting of reflecting on connections as a world... It is the same as asking, what has the human being done that is so precious, as to take away our balance?
What is the human being doing this correct, or right, in these times...?
Or does he need a little more humility...!?
Need to go back a bit...!
After all, in a final instance, everything is a bit "predatory" in the wild...!
And will it give us time to readjust!?
The question of our dominion over nature, or its dominion over us... it is also remade in the idea of constant inequalities, found within the very heart of the "natural" system, and which needs to be reflected, in which we live...
We are no longer talking about how the man-made system itself is predatory, but we re-emphasize here, that nature has always been predatory, in its own way... This is to say that, if there is a point of balance, this is positive and good, in our relationship with the world and nature... but that otherwise nature itself is harsh, and predatory... If we don't adapt precisely, in this case...
We become predators of the planet, or the planet and its natural regime is our predator... that it will emerge victorious in the end, if we don't get smarter, and smarter, to face it as it really is, and adapt...!?
To what extent are we confused in this natural game, in the face of the philosophy of equalities, or inequalities, if the natural system itself is predatory...!? Or does it appear to be, to some extent?
This possibility of a swirl of values, the confusion between right and wrong... they are implicit motives of innocence, naivety, for the severity of the real world...! And it can be seen in one of the scenes in the movie... like "if nothing else had happened"...
The boy throws and sneezes something he takes on his colleague, who returns to being a sea animal, while the father, or cook, cuts, quite hard, a fish right in front of him... ! The village seems to be against the freedom of the fish... because it's a fishing village... but the boys also become fish in it... And fishing both, catching them, living with this difference, in a traditional and ingrained place, seems to be the great challenge of the two colleagues and friends... ! The village, in addition to being against the freedom of the fish, to some extent, is also against the freedom of the boys... who become fish- and sea creatures ... !
Our world is still full of aggressions, conflicts, unacceptance of diversity and differences... ! But deep down, our positions need to be rethought... for here, as if nature ruled everything, we are facing a fish on our plates, we cut this fish... and also, as if by magic, we become fishes...!
This is a kick and a kick to the question of naturalism as much as of the will and the imbalance of the will... something that makes us exaggerate, as predators of the world-planet itself!
Or perhaps, as predators of ourselves...!
The severity of naturalism will never change, and although camouflaged, both in this film and in other Disney classics where nature is everyone's friend, always, it is a mistake, because nature is adaptive, and this will never change...
The unconscious tonality of the film seems to be a reflection of our times, especially post-pandemic... where do we seem to become aware of our limitations...!? We become oblivious, and we get lost in the whirlwinds...
Understanding better how we should be, and how we should face nature, which also, in its own way, by diseases, possibly created by our will and exaggeration... they also consume us, in their own way... Maybe we can get out of these whirlwinds...
We need to be astute to pick up and grasp this timing, of nature, or natural time, of having hardness, of having change... or stay in the flawed adaptation, the mildest, humble, one that is preserved... it's not just because of this, naïve... The adaptation, and the bland of nature, are as hard as the certainty of the times, and of the molds in which it was made... that were far-reaching, from the point of view of human history...
...
The interpretation was made from Trailers and synopses...
Let's check it out... to see if it talks about it... !
As a good analytical psychologist deduces, I'm pretty sure it is...!
That talks about all this our time...!
As a new Pixar movie and trailer... Hopefully it's good...
